Battle Creek Enquirer Apr. 2, 1986
  Marion E. (Carpenter) Corkins, 79, of 26 Sylvan Drive, died Tuesday in Leila 
Hospital, where had been a patient one week.
 She was born in Marshall and moved to Battle Creek in 1925. She was employed 
by Ralston Purina Co. for 23 years, retiring in 1965 and she attended 
Fundamental Baptist Church.
 He first marriage to Dale E. Reed ended in divorce, and her second husband, 
Philip Corkins, died in 1967. She also was proceded in death by a son, Donald 
E. Reed, in 1973, and by a daughter, Eleanor Weeder, in 1985.
 She is survived by daughters Barbara Brown and JoAnn Willavize, both of Battle 
Creek; a son Richard D. Reed; 19, grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a 
sister, Fay Reick.
 Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Farley0Estes Funeral Home.
