Daigneau, former state representative and state senator of Michigan who died last week in Brockville, Iowa, at one time during his life was a resident of Battle Creek. Daigneau’s last Michigan address was Benton Harbor, where the notice of his death was received. He was born in Brandon, Vt., May 17, 1852, of French parentage. In 1854 his parents moved to Battle Creek and he was educated in the public schools here. In 1874 he was married to Carrie Stone of Hillsdale, and he resided there, six years then moving to Battle Creek. He lived here until 1891, in which year he went to Benton Harbor to engage in the laundry business. After holding municipal office there he began a legislative career in 1914 when he was elected member of the house from the second district.
