Douglas, 82, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, November 5, 2007, at the Battle Creek Veteran's Affairs Medical Center. He was previously employed by Johnson Auto Parts and then served in the United States Army from December 1943 to December 1945. He was proud to have served as a messenger for General George Patton in the 101st Infantry of the 3rd Army. He received the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Floyd was employed by the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center for over 23 years, retiring in 1974. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, bowling and playing cards. Floyd was a member of DAV Post #7. He was preceded by 6 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2007 at Royal Funeral Home. Additional Comments: Birth Date & Names of Survivors have been deleted for privacy.
