Drolet, 75, a machinist at the Grand Trunk railroad shops for 48 years prior to his retirement 10 years ago, died at 2:30 a.m. today in his home at 261 Post avenue. His death followed by two weeks the death of his wife Susan Elizabeth whom he married here May 30, 1907. Mr. Drolet was born Dec. 25, 1874 in Kingston, Ont. He came to Battle Creek 58 years ago and went to work immediately as a machinist apprentice with the Grand Trunk railroad becoming a machinist in December, 1901. Except for a brief period with he was a gang foreman, his entire employment with the railroad was spent as a machinist. Mr. Drolet had been in ill health for five years. Since the death of his wife, he had been cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Turner of 24 Lourin court, Mr. Turner being a brother-in-law. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
