"Hank" Hudson. 69, of Banfield, died Thursday, December 26, 2002, at his home. He was born in Weyauwega, Wisconsin, the son of Ivan P. and Henrietta (Van Der Heyden) Hudson. He attended St. Philip School in Battle Creek, King School in Banfield and Kellogg Agricultural School. He served in the U. S. Navy as a Seaman from 1953-1956, and in the reserves until 1960. He was awarded Honorman of Company A 161 upon completing his basic training. As a young man he worked for Senior Oil Company. He leased and operated a gas station from 1958 - 1963. He worked at Post Cereals in the Carton Container Division from 1961 - 1983, while also farming. Since 1983 he has farmed and raised beef cattle. He married Dorothy Berridge, June 8. 1952, she died October 18, 1984. He is also survived by his 2nd wife, 1 son, 2 step-daughters, 1 step-son, 3 grand- children, thirteen step-grandchildren,, a great -grandson, 2 sisters, 6 brothers and 1 sister-in-law. He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney James Hudson, his mother, Henrietta Hudson, his father, Ivan Hudson,, sisters; Delores Robinson, Betty Jimmerson and a brother, Michael Hudson. He enjoyed antiques, refinishing old furniture. his cattle, visiting casinos occasionally and taking short trips. He was a member of American Legion post 484 in Hickory Comers having served as a Commander and Adjutant. he also served as an Honor Guard. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 30. 2002, at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Worden officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Barry County Hospice; Hickory Corners Bible Church or American Cancer Society.
