Battle Creek Enquirer – April  24, 1989
Walter Hudson, 99, died Sunday, April 23, at home. 
He had been ill three years.
He was born in Bangor Township and had lived in Battle Creek since 1923.

He was a lumberjack in the Upper Peninsula and also worked at the former A. B. 
Stove Co., Union Pump Co. and as chef at the former Battle Creek Sanitarium.
He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 565, World War Veterans 
Post 553 and Springfield Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mattie Brewer Hallmark; 2 sons; 1 daughter; 
18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Lloyd Hudson of 
Springfield.
	
Services will be at 11 a.m: Wednesday at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. 
Memorial donations may go to Calhoun County Visiting Nurses Association.
