Battle Creek Enquirer
Dixie M. McGuffey, 91, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007. 
She was in Dayton, Tennessee, the daughter of James Layfatte 
and Gladys Phene (Corvin) Turner. Prior to her retirement she worked at the 
Kellogg Company for 31 years.
She was married to Claude E. McGuffey in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Together they were 
founding members of the Andrus Street Church of God.

Dixie was preceded in death by her husband Claude, on October 28, 1992; one 
son, Donnie; five brothers; and two sisters. 
The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on 
Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 
p.m. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with 
the Rev. William Bingham and the Rev. J.C. Crank officiating. Interment will 
follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed 
to the Andrus Street Church of God.
