Battle Creek Enquirer – January 28, 1977
COLDWATER - Durward McNees. 59, was dead on arrival Thursday at the Branch 
County Community Health Center, where he was taken after being stricken at home.
He was born in Kalamazoo and moved to Coldwater in 1942. He was employed by the 
Consumers Power Co. and retired last September after 30 years of service with 
the Bronson office. He was a member of the Angola American Legion' Post and the 
United Commercial Travelers of Coldwater.
Duward was preceded in death by a brother Lowell M. McNees in 1961.
He is survived by his widow, the former Blanche Nutt; a son; one grandchild; 
brothers, Stanley and Milford McNees of Kalamazoo, and Howard McNees of South 
Haven, and sisters, Mrs. Frank (Thelma) Rain, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Slater and 
Mrs. Dale (Geraldine) Davidson, all of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Al (Ora) Hill of 
Manistique and Mrs. Mary Hills of Illinois
Services will be held at l p.m Saturday at Kubasiak-Kolcs Funeral Home, Bronson.
