Battle Creek Enquirer – Dec 1963
Clifton B. McNees, 73, of 22609 Two-Mile (Collier) Rd., retired core maker, 
died at 4:40 a.m. today in a local hospital where he had been a patient nine 
days. Mr. McNees, born in McDonald, Mich., was an employee of the Union Pump 
Co. 36 years, retiring eight years ago. He was one of 12 children of Moses L. 
and Anne (Hudson) McNees and
married Altha May Drake in Buckley, near Traverse City, Aug. 12. 1911. 
Survivors Include his wife and 12 children; 31 grandchildren and 26 great-
grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.
