Morris, age 51 of Battle Creek, died at his home on Monday, November 5, 2007. He attended St. Jerome Catholic Elementary School and St. Philip Catholic Junior High School. David graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1974 and went on to earn an Associates Degree in Electronics Technology from Kellogg Community College. He was employed at Kendall Electric in Battle Creek for several years. David loved working outside, enjoyed doing house painting, and spent this past summer working at a resort at Mt. Rushmore, South Dakota. David was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. He faced many challenges in his life and attempted to overcome numerous obstacles. He had a natural talent for writing and art work, as well as a good sense of humor. He enjoyed listening to Bill and Dave on WBCK's morning show and in the past has called in to the show as "Wally Waubascon". He enjoyed traveling and visiting different parts of the country. David was especially fond of his grandma's Labrador retriever, Princess. He loved taking Princess for walks in the woods and golf cart rides, and enjoyed brushing and grooming her. David enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed holidays at his grandma's farm. David was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Scott Brandeberry in November 1962 and Steven Eugene Brandeberry in June, 2003; his maternal grandmother, Helen M. Dilsaver-Kinney in November 2005; stepgrandfather, Danny A. Dilsaver in September 1998; maternal grandfather, Glenn Gaskill in July 1962; and stepfather, Frederick E. Brandeberry in March 2006. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. James V. Roberts officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Philip's Grotto Fund.
