"Betty" Robbins, 93, a lifelong Battle Creek resident, died July 2, 2007, at Bickford Cottage. Betty was part of the very first graduating class at Southwestern Junior High, a 1931 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and studied home economics at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She also took health, dietary, and home economic classes from Dr. John Harvey Kellogg and graduated with a degree as a Certified Dietician from Battle Creek College. Betty married C. She was a former Camp Fire Leader, a member and former P.T.A. president; and a co-founder of the Battle Creek Home Economic Club. Betty was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed golfing.
