Battle Creek Enquirer Oct. 15, 1991
Elizabeth A. (Shanley) Sass, 86 of Battle Creek, died Monday Oct. 14, 1991 
in Calhoun County Medical Care Facility after a long illness.
Mrs. Sass was born Oct. 3, 1905 in Battle Creek, the daughter of the late 
John and Mary (Sparrow) Shanley.
She lived in Battle Creek all her life and was a graduate of St. Phillip 
High School and Argubright Business College.
She was a secretary for Ralston Purina Co. for 30 years, prior to 
retirement.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Ralston 25 year club.
She married Clarence E. Sass on June 9, 1925 in Battle Creek. He died in 
1976.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by seven brothers and eight sisters (see note 
below)

ELIZABETH IS MY GREAT GRAND AUNT.

Elizabeth only had 3 Brother and 4 Sisters:

3. Teresa Agnes - b. Mar. 16, 1896, d. July 31, 1897
4. John Patrick - b. July 6, 1897, d. Nov. 11, 1965
5. James P. - b. Jan. 6, 1898, d. Dec. 27, 1954
6. Edward W. - b. Oct. 23, 1900, d. Dec. 23, 1933
7. Mary Bernice - Sept. 22, 1907, d. Aug. 19, 1981 (My Grandmother)
