Battle Creek Enquirer
 Clarence E. Sass, 74, of 290 Honey Lane, died Sunday in Leila Hospital
where he had been a patient since Sept. 20. He had been ill five years.
 He was born in LaPorte, Ind. and came to Battle Creek in 1911 with his
family. He was employed for 25 years as a supervisor with the Duplex 
Printing Press Co. and then was a supervisor with the former Oliver Co.
in its farm equipment and aviation divisions. He retired in 1961.
 He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
 Surviving are his widow thw former Elizabeth Shanley, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
 Services will held at 10 a.m. Wednsday in St. Jospeh Catholic Church. 
Arrangements are by Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.
