He was married 49 years ago to Mary Sparrow who survives him. Mr. .Shanley had worked at one time as a section foreman for the Michigan Central Railroad and later was employed by the Union Steam Pump company. Retiring 14 years ago. Surviving besides the widow an three daughters. Mrs. Clarence E. Sass. of 37 Pleasant avenue; Mrs Phlillp Corkins, of 554 Bedford Road, and Mrs. Glen Wilson, of Los Angeles. Cal.. and two sons James, at home, and John. of Sidney. Australia. Requiem mass will sung by the Rev. Maurice Walsh at St Philip church at 9 o'clock Monday morning and burial will be In Mount Olivet Cemetery. Kalamazoo. Friends may call at the residence, where the body was takes from from the Farley Funeral Home Additional Comments: John was in his teens when he came to America, and he lived in Kalamazoo first with his parents and sibling. He built a house on Church Street in Kalamazoo.
