C. RESIDENT DIED IN LOS ANGELES. Word has been received here of the sudden death at his home in Los Angeles. Sunday night of Edward Shanley 33, a former resident of this city. His death followed a heart attack. The body was to arrive in Battle Creek this afternoon and a solemn high mass of requeim will be celebrated at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning at St. Philip Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Maurice Walsh will be thecelbrant and interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Kalamazoo. The body will be at Farley's Funeral Home until 8:45 o'clock Saturday morning. Mr. Shanley is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Shanley, of 34 Peninsular street, three sisters, Mrs. Glan Wilson of California, Mrs. Clarence Sass of Pleasant Ave and Mrs. Phillip Corkins of 34 Peninsular Street, and two brothers, James Shanley of 34 Peninsular street and John Shanley in Australia.
