Battle Creek Moon Journal, November 21, 1906
Mrs. Elizabeth Sparrow, 65 years of age, passed away this morning at the 
residence of her daughter Mrs. C. Hoffman, 58 Union Street. The deceased was 
the mother of twelve cildren, ten of whom are still living, her husband having 
died some time ago. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Friday 
morning at St. Philips Catholic Church and internment will be made in Mt. 
Olivet Cemetery.

Elizabeth was born in Ireland.Daughter of Michael & Anna (Butler) Murphy.
Elizabeth & Patrick actually had 13 children (1. Anna, 2. Catherine, 3. James, 
4. Helen 'Ellen', 5. Mary, 6. Margaret, 7. Bridget, 8. Lillian, 9. Martha (Mrs. 
C. Hoffman), 10. Elizabeth, 11. Anastacia, 12, John, and 13. Baby Sarah (Only 
child born in the U.S.).

Children that died before Elizabeth. 1. Baby Sarah 1886, 2. James 1890, 3. 
Lillian, 4. Bridget.
