Harmonia Cemetery is in Springfield Township, but is Owned and Maintained by 
Bedford Township.

 The cemetery was named after a village called HARMONIA in 1850, established by 
the Society of Friends which operated a manual labor school in the settlement 
south of the Kalamazoo River.

This Cemetery has been vandalized many times and most of the headstones are 
gone.
