This is the tombstone of my great grandfather Joseph Dobbertien.  The stone is 
inscribed; J Dobbertien.  

Additional Comments:
Joseph Dobbertien was born in Satow Mecklenburg Schwerin Germany on 9 Dec, 
1858.  His full birth name was Joachim Johann Friedrich Dobbertin.  Upon his 
immigration to the USA, the first name was changed from Joachim to Joseph and 
the spelling of the last name was changed from Dobbertin to Dobbertien.  His 
wife, Sophia Dobbertien nee Stoffer is also buried here.  Sophia was born in 
Wokrent Mecklenburg Schwerin Germany on 31 Dec 1853.  Her full name was Sophia 
Maria Anna Stoffer.
