Drive South) Photo can be seen at: http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/calhoun/photos/unknownc135204gph.jpg Image file size: 215.4 Kb Unknown Cemetery is on PRIVATE PROPERTY and is surrounded by lilac bushes and second growth trees which are visible from J Drive South, approxinately a quarter mile west of 27 Miles Road. The cemetery is enclosed by a conrete wall approximatley 3 feet high. An undated article in the Jackson Citizen-Patriot, noted that the top of the wall was etched with the world, "Built in 1906, by Randolph Grimes, son of Anna Grimes." Portions of this inscription are still visible, though filled with moss. Anna Grimes is believed to have been the first to be buried in the cemetery (1845) and I assigned that name (GRIMES) to the cemetery. Four Markers were found. The property owner recalls there being additional stones and planes to clean up the area when time permits.
