Dowagiac Daily News December 17, 1957
Walter C. Block, 77, died this morning in his home at 213 Haines Street.  He 
was born Feb 11, 1880 in Aurora, IN the son of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Block.  He 
is survived by his widow, Grace, and a brother, William, Cincinnati, OH.  A 
son preceded him in death four years ago.  Funeral services will be Thursday 
afternoon at two o'clock with Eber Chase, reader for the First Church of 
Christ, Scientist, officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside.  Friends may 
call after seven o'clock tonight in the funeral home.
