	Mrs. Amanda Clendenen, an old and esteemed resident of Silver Creek died on
Tuesday at Maywood, Ill., where she was visiting.  The remains were brought home
yesterday for burial.  Mrs. Clendenen was born in Monroe county, Va., in 1809
and came to Michigan and settled in Silver Creek where she was since lived.  In
1827, she was married to Robert Clendenen.  She was the mother of ten children;
five boys are still living.
