Mrs. Roscoe Shepherd who has been suffering a long time from what the doctors
called consumption quietly passed away Friday night at about twelve o'clock. 
And was burried[sic] Sunday at Smmnerville[sic] at half past two o'clock.  The
funeral surmon[sic] was delivered by the  Rev. Taylor.  Mrs. Shepherd was the
daughter of Clinton Snodgrass who was sickened and died a few years ago from the
same fatal disease; since his death three have been taken away from the family.
