Roberta L. Kannenberg, 72, of Cassopolis, Michigan, died Saturday, January 14, 
1995, in Pawating Hospital in Niles, Michigan.

She was born September 4, 1922, in Waukon, Iowa, to Daniel & Anna (Hahn) 
Sires.  December 16, 1941, she married William Kannenberg in Caledonia, 
Minnesota.  They had lived in the Cassopolis area since 1960.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Louise Hambright of Cassopolis; 
Karen Raymond of Osceola, Indiana; and Jane Adkins of Edwardsburg, Michigan; 
three sons, Thomas Kannenberg of Three Rivers, Michigan; and John and Richard 
Kannenberg, both of Cassopolis; 19 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one 
sister, Lorraine Britain of Waukon; and two brothers, Robert Sires of 
Cassopolis; and William Sires of Spring Grove, Minnesota.

Roberta was preceded in death by three sisters, Lois Rosendahl, Alpha 
Rosendahl and Gladys Sires; and a brother, Calvin Sires.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, at Connelly Funeral 
Home in Cassopolis.  Pastor Troy Fitzgerald of Glenwood Seventh Day Adventist 
Church in Dowagiac, Michigan, officiated.  Burial was in the Summerville, 
Michigan, cemetery.
