Clarence Witherell, a brother of the deceased, was in charge. The funeral party left San Francisco last Wednesday. The trip was delayed because of the storms of the west which tied up traffic. Morris Witherell was sick only twenty-four hours before death. The cause of death as given was ulceration of the stomach. He was 30 years of age, and had been in the west only about a year. The funeral services were held at the home of the deceased’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Witherell, at 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon. Burial took place at Sumnerville. _______________________________________________________ The death of Mr. Witherell resulted directly from ptomaine poisoning caused by eating canned beans at the hotel where he was staying.
