Marker s/w son Lewis Edward Hawks. Marker contains several Epitaphs, *"I will not live always no, welcome the tomb, since Jesus has laid their, I Dread not the Gloom." *"Asleep in Jesus, Blessed Sleep, From which none ever wake to weep, A calm and undistrubed repose, unboken by the last of foes." Samuel was married two times, (1) Matilda Dungey, (2) Lucy Ann Simpson. The township has lost one of its best citizens, a man who industry and thrift had won for him a material fortune and whose integrity and uprightness had made him respected by everyone.
