Elward Snelling, 1890-1915
1 June 1915, Sunday morning about 1am just as the entertainment was breaking 
up at Bethel Church, Calvin Center, MI. Elward age 27years mad with jealousy, 
placed a revolver to the head of his sweetheart Flossie Hawks, 26years old 
killing her instantly. A few minutes later he shot himself through his head 
and died. Cassopolis Vigilant Newspaper Article,  2 June 1915.
