Retta Vaughn Brown
1889 -- 1987

Marker is shared with husband Charles E. Brown, Sr (1883-1948) and son Charles 
E. Brown, Jr. (1925-1975).  Retta was born in Cass Co. on the Joe Bellows 
place near Shavehead Lake.  Retta had a daughter named Dallas Vaughn who lived 
with grandparents Helena and Uriah Vaughn. 

Retta Vaughn's first marriage was to Travis Mourning.

Retta later married Charles E. Brown, Sr. 

Retta Vaughn Brown's parents were Helena nee Anderson Vaughn and Uriah Vaughn.

Retta nee Vaughn Brown had 5 siblings.  There were Edna nee Vaughn Sanders, 
Sara (Sadie) Francis nee Vaughn Ford, Byron Ulyssis Vaughn, Harlan Vaughn and 
Glendora nee Vaughn Evans.
