Minerva A. Coker
1867 - 1952

Marker is shared with husband James A. Coker (1866-1955).

Minerva Jane Allen was the seventh child of William Allen and Winnie Anna 
Anderson.  Minerva Jane Allen was born April 7, 1867. 

Minerva Allen married James A. Coker September 29, 1886.  James A. Coker was 
the son of Lucinda Coker.

Minerva and James A. Coker were the parents of 12 children.  They were:  
Winnie, Rosella, Lena Corinne, Wilbert F., Kenneth, Herbert O., Elvera, Ethel, 
Esther, Iva Cleoa, Marion and Roxanna Bell. 

James A. and Minerva were Charter Members of Calvin Community Chapel. Minerva 
Coker had a high soprano voice.  She could sing all of the high notes in "God 
Be With You Till We Meet Again". 

Minerva Coker furnished 306 feet of beech logs for the construction of the 
Calvin Community Chapel.  

Minerva nee Allen Coker died in 1952 at the age of 85.
