Clarence E. Lawson
1873 - 1935

Marker is shared with wife Lizzie nee Copley Lawson (1878-1959).

Clarence E. Lawson was born in 1873.  His parents were Cornelius Lawson and 
Marthaline Lawson.  Clarence had 3 siblings: Homer, William (Willie) and Etta. 

Clarence E. Lawson married Lizzie Copley.  They were the parents of 11 
children. They were:  Glenn, Josie, Elvira, Mamie, Theolia, Forest, Zerel, 
Martha, Edith, Olive and Hilda.

Clarence and Lizzie Lawson were Charter Members of Calvin Community Chapel. 
Clarence and Lizzie and children Theolia, Zerel, Martha, Edith, Olive and 
Forest did all of the sawing of logs for the new church.  Clarence Lawson 
donated the Beech logs for the Calvin Community Chapel.

Clarence Lawson died April 4, 1935 at the age of 62.  He was the first person 
buried in the Calvin Community Chapel Cemetery.
