Esther R. Sanders
1908 -- 2002

Marker is shared with husband Marshall H. Sanders, Sr. (1911-1962). 

Esther Rosetta Wilson was born August 5, 1908.  She died May 19, 2002 at the 
age of 93.  Her parents were James H. Wilson and Rosanna nee Allen Wilson of 
Calvin Twp. Cass Co., MI.

Education: 
1925 graduated from Cassopolis High School.
1927 attained teaching degree from Western Michigan University
1933 received BA in biological sciences - University of Michigan
1948 Master in Education from Wayne State University
1952 30 hours in counseling and guidance from University of Michigan

Esther was a teacher in rural schools in Calvin Twp. and a teacher, principal 
and Director or Guidance in the Inkster, MI Board of Education where she 
worked for 41 years.

Esther was a Charter Memeber (1928) of Calvin Community Chapel.  

Esther R. Wilson married Marshall H. Sanders, Sr. April 6, 1935.  Esther and 
Marshall, Sr. were the parents of two sons Marshall H. Sanders, Jr. and 
Maurice Wilson Sanders.  Marshall Sr. died in 1962.  

In August 1971, Esther married John W. Wingfield.  John died in 1978.
Esther was a world traveler and wrote the 50th (1928-1928) Anniverary Booklet 
of Calvin Community Chapel.  Esther Rosetta Sanders Wingfield was an 
outstanding mother and person!
