Lolen Dungey was born 11 May 1907 in Cass County, Michigan to Lewis Dungey, b. 09 Aug 1886 and Bonnie Mae Vaughn, b. 17 Jun 1887 in MI. Lolen Dungey was married twice. The first marriage was to Beatrice Curtis on 09 Dec 1934. To this union a son Warren H. Dungey, Sr. was born 24 Jan 1935. Beatrice Curtis Dungey b. 1918, d. 1935; is buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Calvin Township, Cass County Michigan. The second marriage of Lolen Dungey, now a widower, with a two year old son, was to Eunice Wanda Brown in 1937. Eunice Wanda Brown, b. 22 Feb 1914, d. 04 Oct 2007. Lolen and Eunice were married for 43 years. Physically Lolen Dungey was a big man weighing 220 pounds and standing 6’1”. Lolen worked construction and farmed 40 acres of land in the Village of Vandalia, and in 1974, he was elected to a municipal office for the village. Lolen Dungey instilled a positive work ethic in his grandchildren. Note: The son of Lolen Dungey, Warren Dungey, Sr. an Army veteran, died 12 Apr 1992 in Kalamazoo, MI and is buried at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Lolen Dungey died 05 Oct 1980, in Kalamazoo, MI at the age of 73.
