Each of their names are inscribed within an open book symbol and between the books is a cross with praying hands. The parents of Albert “Ab” Grady Jr were Albert Grady b 1875 and Adilyon Mae Anderson b 1882. Albert and Adailyon were married September 1897 and were the parents of Ethel b 1897, Lovell b 1899 and Albert Jr. Lovell passed away August 1913. Albert “Ab” Grady Jr was born 14 Aug 1900 in Cassopolis, Cass County Michigan where he lived his entire life. Ab, as he was known, was the former owner of Ab’s Tavern on Calvin Center Rd. He had also been employed in the mobile home construction industry. On June 1, 1918, in Cassopolis, he married Edith Belle Dungey. Albert and Edith had one son Alfred Louis Grady b 18 Nov 1918 in Calvin Township, Cass County Michigan. Alfred died 16 Mar 1934 in Flint Michigan at Hurley Hospital of lobar pneumonia. He was attending a Vocational Training School in Flint. The Grady's also had an adopted daughter Yvonne Finley. Albert “Ab” Grady died 26 Dec 1987 at Pawating Hospital in Niles, Michigan. Funeral services for Albert “Ab” Grady were held Tuesday 29 Dec 1987, 11:00 a.m. at Connelly Funeral Home Cassopolis, Michigan. Officiating the service was Reverend Julius Davis, Community Chapel. Casket Bearers were: Ivan Lawson, Hursell Grady, Lyle Lawson, Robert Scott, Anthony McFarland and Stanley Stewart. Interment: Chain Lake Cemetery, Calvin Township, Cass County Michigan.
