During our adolescents my brother Maurice and I spent all of our summers, holidays and special family occasions at Grandma Wilson home. My memory is filled with many fond thoughts of Grandma Wilson, she loved to play the piano and sing gospels. We had many fun nights sitting around in the evening singing and playing card games. Grandma was an excellent cook and regularly entertained many family members and friends. Grandma Wilson kept meticulous genealogy records and authored a manuscript of Allen History. Rosa Anna Wilson died June 15, 1967, at her daughter Esther’s home in Detroit. She was 87 years old. The red granite marker of Rosa A. Wilson lies on the east side of the north entrance to the cemetery. The tombstone of Rosanna and James H. lies in a long row of markers of other Wilson descendants.
