Research documents two Arthur Allen's born approximately the same time and 
died approximately the same time.  This Arthur Allen's genealogy is not 
definitive.

Source #1:  
Arthur Otto Allen was the son of Green Allen, Sr. and Angelina/Angeline nee 
Wade Allen.  Arthur Otto Allen was born 12 Nov 1847 in Ohio.  

US Census documentation:
1850 Otto Allen 2 years old
1860 Arthur Allen 12 years old

Arthur Otto Allen never married. 
Arthur Otto Allen died 12 May 1869

Source #2:  
Arthur A. Allen is the son of Green Allen, Sr. and Angelina/Angeline nee Wade 
Allen.  Arthur A. was born 22 Oct 1847.  He was married to Mary A. Newsom.  
Arthur A. Allen and Mary A. Newsom were the parents of three children:  Sara 
Ellen Allen, Arthur Alvin Allen, Allen Keith Allen.

Arthur A. Allen died 1868.
