Marker surname is inscribed Buther the correct surname is Butcher.

Marker is shared with Betsey Butcher (d. 1880). However, Michigan Death 
Records indicate the date of death of Betsey Butcher was December 12, 1879 at 
the age of 78y, 4m, 24d.  

Macklen C. Butcher was born ~1799.  Macklen C. Butcher married Elizabeth 
(Betsey) Butcher.  They were the parents of Mary, Lucinda, Catherine, 
Angeline, Pathena, Sylvia and David.  David Butcher was born in OH.  Angeline 
Butcher m. Uriah H. Artis 21 Oct 1861 in Cass Co., MI. Uriah H. Artis b. 1840 
in OH.

Macklen Butcher died March 20, 1885.
