Greenburry Cousins

Marker has a Mason logo on the upper face of headstone.  The stone is upright 
and tilted toward the est off of the footing. 

Greenburry Cousins has two markers.  This is the old tombstone.

Greenburry was born in 1826 in Indiana.  His parents were David Cousins and 
Ary (Arah) Bland.  Greenburry had 6 siblings.  They were Amanda J., James, 
David Wilson, Laura F., Robert and Elzy Cousins. 

Greenburry Cousins married Malinda Chandler January 2, 1848.  Greenburry and 
Malinda were the parents of 8 children. The children were:  Elizabeth b. 1849 
IN, Malinda b. 1851 MI, Frances S. b. 1855 MI, Sidney Green b. 1859 MI, Jerome 
Sylvester b. 1856 MI, Estella b. 1861 MI, Susan b. 1864 MI, Volney b. 1866 MI.

Greenburry Cousins was a physician and surgeon.  

On August 16, 1870 in Porter Twp. Cass Co., at the age of 43, Greenburry 
Cousins was murdered by Andrew J. Bunn.
