Blessed be the name of the Lord. Marker is inscribed on both sides. This side of marker was in the ground facing upward and almost completely covered by grass. His parents were Henry Ligens b. 1805 VA and Elizabeth Ligens b. 1825 in VA. Henry and Elizabeth Ligens were the parents of Parthena b. 1843 VA, Rufus b. 1845 VA, Martha b. 1847 VA, Mary b. 1849 VA, Susan b. 1850 VA, Emma b. 1851 VA, Alexander b. 1854 OH, Malinda b. 1857 OH, David b. 1858 OH, John (Johnny) b. 1868 MI, and Thomas b. 1870 MI. Ligens has multiple spellings. (i.e. Liggins, Ligins, Ligans) Johnny Ligens died April 10, 1873 at the age of 4 years.
