Her funeral was Sunday, April 18, at the Community Church of God in Charlevoix. The Rev. Bruce E. Hamilton will officiate and burial will be in the Barnard Cemetery. She was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Marion Township, the daughter of Hiram and Hattie (Sitzema) Potter. She attended the Barnard School through the eighth grade and graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1938. She married Homer Warner on July 26.1943, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1971. The couple had always made their home in the Charlevoix area except for a few years when they lived in Detroit. Mrs. Warner was a member of the Community Church of God and the Women of the Church of God. She was also a member of the Barnard United Methodist Women's Club, the Barnard Farm Bureau and the Barnard Women's Club. She enjoyed sewing and quilting in her spare time. Mrs. Warner is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Wanda) Murray of Lapeer; one son, Dennis and his wife Linda of Swartz Creek; four grandchildren, Kristen and Kimberly Murray, and Christopher and Lindsey Warner; three brothers. Junior and his wife, Shirley, of Sandusky, Mich., Ernie and his wife Mildred of Charlevoix, and Garrett and his wife Bertha of Charlevoix; one sister, Mrs. Carl (Clara) Bogart of Charlevoix; and one sister-in-law, Quinella Potter of Charlevoix. In addition to her husband. Homer, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank in 1985. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Little Traverse Bay. Warner is the son of Charles Warner and Emma Brown OBITUARY Courtesy Charlevoix Library WARNER Funeral was held at the Winchester Funeral Home Jan. 9 for Homer L. Warner, 62, Rev. Wayne Olinghouse officiating. Burial was in Barnard Cemetery. Mr. Warner, a Marion Township dairy farmer, died Jan. 7 at Little Traverse Hospital in Petoskey. He was born in Antrim County Nov. 15, 1908, and lived in the area all of his life. During his early years, Mr. Warner was a Great Lakes sailor. He started his dairy farm on Barnard rd. in 1944. He was a member of the Barnard Farm Bureau and the Community Church of God. He is survived by his widow, the former Agnes Potter whom he married in Detroit in 1943; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Wanda) Murray of Charlevoix and Mrs. Frank (Sally) McCarthy of Lathrup Village; two sons, Dennis of Charlevoix, and Wallace of Piscatiway, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Nadeau of Taylor Center, Mrs. George Anderson of Lansing and Mrs. William Habel of Charlevoix; and eight brothers, Giles of Grand Rapids, Dixon of Dearborn and Clyde, Burton, Harrison, Jasper, Harley and Doyle of Charlevoix.
