BABY BOY DIES IN SHOCKING MANNER

Infant Son of Late Henry Baker Takes Strychnine.

Walter Harold Baker little son of the late Henry Baker of Hayes township, who
would have been two years old on his next birthday, the 28th of this month, died
in the Charlevoix hospital last Saturday night, shortly after having been
brought there from his home, where he had swallowed several strychnine tablets.

The little fellow had climbed up onto a chair and from there to the dresser
where the tablets, which had been prescribed for Mr. Baker in his last illness,
were kept, as it was thought, out of the child's reach.

The funeral was held at the home of  William Gregory at ten o'clock Tuesday
morning, Rev. Weaver of Petoskey officiating, and his remains were
interred in the cemetery at Brookside.
