The body was brought home Monday and the funeral took place yesterday under the auspices of the Knights of Pythias, of which he was a valued member. Mr. Baldwin was one of the most respected residents of the city, having lived here the greater portion of his life, having been for several seasons engineer of the steamer Cummings, and his death in the prime of life being only thirty-six years of age, is the cause of universal sorrow among his numerous friends and citizens generally. He leaves a wife and small child.
