Baldwin 1908-1927 Henrietta Corlett Baldwin is the daughter of Emery D. Baldwin. Charlevoix Courier May 25, 1927 HENRIETTA BALDWIN DIED LAST MONDAY Untimely Death Leaves Stricken Parents and Host of Friends Nearly an eight month struggle to regain the coveted health of youth came to a sad close at 12:00 p. m. Monday in the death of Henrietta Corlett Baldwin. That she should be stricken in the flower of young womanhood after so valiant a struggle strikes deeply into the sympathetic hearts of all who knew her. Miss Baldwin was born at Boyne City, Michigan, September 16th, 1908, the daughter of Emrey D. Baldwin, now deceased, and the present Mrs. DeForrest H. Wood. She received her education in the Charlevoix public schools and graduated with high honors as salutatorian of the class of 1926. She had a university career ahead of her, but before entering the University of Michigan discovered her ailment and was operated on the 9th of last October for removal of the spleen. After passing the critical stage of her recovery from the operation she rapidly gained in health and up until a little over a week ago her recovery was considered complete. Complications set in, however, which resulted in her untimely death. Henrietta was possessed with that sweet, genial disposition, which made her a friend of anyone she met. She always had a smile for everyone, and was a friend indeed, to all of her acquaintances. She leaves a deeply grieved mother and father and a sympathetic community. Funeral arrangements have not been completed at this time.
