He had lived in the vicinity of Charlevoix off and on for many years, coming to Charlevoix last fall and purchasing the Wyers' place just south of the city. Prior to this he lived in Chicago. Deceased was born in Clinton county, New York, August 31, 1854. He came to Charlevoix in 1876, at the age of 20. He was united in marriage to Cynthia C. Kendall in 1882. To this union were born six children, two dying in infancy, and one at the age 15 years. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife and three children, Mrs. Orton VanDusen of Charlevoix, Pierce W. Blanchard of Chicago, and Mrs. Clara Westle of Chicago, also five brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held from the home Saturday at 2:00 p. m., Rev. Henry Candler of the M. E. church, officiating. Interment at Brookside cemetery.
