Dec. 15, 1901 - Sept. 21, 1975 Raymond H. Apr. 25, 1900-June 29, 1976 Additional Comments: OBITUARY - Raymond Boak Raymond H. Boak married Mrs. Josephine E. Hamlin (1901-1975) at Millersburg on June 5, 1955 Raymond Boak Funeral services for Raymond H. Boak, 76, who died Tuesday after being hospitalized for two weeks at the Charlevoix Area Hospital, were held Friday at the Winchester Funeral Home. The Rev. Austin Regier of the United Methodist Church officiated. Interment was in Brookside cemetery. Born in Charlevoix April 25, 1900, Mr. Boak had spent his entire life here except for a short time spent in Detroit and while in the service during World War II. He was married to the former Mrs. Josephine E. Hamlin at Millersburg, on June 5,1955. She preceded him in death in 1975. He had retired after being employed by the Charlevoix County Road Commission. He was a member of the Charlevoix County Farm Bureau. Surviving are a step-son, Harold Hamlin of Walloon lake with whom he had resided since February; a step-daughter, Mrs. Valda Wilson of Ferndale; 15 step- grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. The family suggests that anyone wishing to honor Mr. Boak's memory contribute in his name to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ OBITUARY - Josephine Trimble Boak Mrs. Raymond Boak Funeral services for Mrs. Raymond (Josephine) Boak, 79, who died unexpectedly Sunday at the Charlevoix Area Hospital several hours after she had been admitted via ambulance, will be held at the Winchester Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Austin Regier will officiate. Interment will be at Brookaide cemetery. Born in Charlevoix Dec. 15, 1901, the former Josephine Trimble had always resided here. On June 5,1955, she was married to Mr. Boak. She was a member of the United Methodist church and its circle, the Farm Bureau and the Hayes township Extension Club. She Is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Valda Wilson of Ferndale; two sons, Harold Hamlin of Walloon Lake and Vernard Hamlin of Oscoda; 15 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren and a brother, Clayton Trimble of Charlevoix. A daughter, Mrs. Florine Winegarden, preceded her in death on Sept 4, 1975. The family suggests that anyone wishing to honor her memory contribute in her name to the Memorial Fund of the United Methodist Church.
