R. C. Clocklin Dies In Crash

CHARLEVOIX
Corporal Fay C. "Mickey" Clocklin, 25, of the U. S. Army Air Force and former
Charlevoix resident, died last Wednesday from injuries received in an auto
accident at the C. G. Edwards Air Force Base Muroc, Calif. No details of the
accident, were given in the wire to his mother, Mrs. Mary Snyder of Detroit but
it is believed the accident occurred early May 3.

The body, accompanied by a military escort, arrived today from the west. Funeral
services will be held at the See Funeral Home here at 2 p. m. Tuesday with the
Rev. Gaylord D. Howell officiating. Burial will be in Brookside cemetery.

Born in Petoskey, he later resided here and attended the local schools. He
entered the army in 1944 and served in the South Pacific area. He remained in
the service and late in 1947 transferred to the U. S. Army Air Force.

He is survived by his mother, his father, Roy Clocklin of Harbor Springs; one
sister, Mrs. Frank Romas of Detroit; a brother, Robert at Watervleit and his
maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Supernaw of Harbor Springs.

Fay Clinton Clocklin is the son of Roy Reycraft

J. Glasgow.
His parents divorced September 9, 1929 at Emmet County, Michigan.
Roy and Mary had three children: Mary Louise born 1921, Robert Roy born 1922,
and Fay Clinton Clocklin born 1924.

Fay C. Clocklin married Theresa Demres on January 30, 1947 at Detroit, Wayne,
Michigan. Theresa is the daughter of George Demres and Clara Bowerman.
