LONG-TIME CITIZEN
IS TAKEN BY DEATH

W. F. Crandall Died at Fremont;
Was Buried Here Friday-

William T. Crandall died Tuesday, December 25th, at 8:55 p. m. at the home of
his daughter, Mrs. Ben Lanore of Fremont, after a two months illness, at the age
of 88 years, 13 days.

He was born in Pennsylvania December 13, 1846, coming to Michigan 53 years ago.
Most of his life after coming here was spent in Charlevoix county.

He was married in Pennsylvania to Miss Florence Shonts November 22, 1870, and to
them were born three children all of whom are living. Since the death of Mrs.
Crandall 15 years ago he has lived with his children. Since last October he has
been with Mrs. Ben Lenore. Besides his daughter he is survived by two sons Bert
and Grant Crandall of Charlevoix. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 28th, from the home of Grant
Crandall conducted by Rev. C. A. Stewart. Burial was in Brookside.
