Obituary

Musa Dennis

Miss Musa Dennis, 83, former local resident, died January 21 at a Lansing
nursing home where she had been a patient for three years.

Born in South Dakota Sept. 6, 1896, Miss Dennis came to Charlevoix with her
parents as a girl. She attended the Charlevoix schools before going to southern
Michigan where she was employed by a pharmaceutical firm in Kalamazoo and later
by a telephone directory census firm in Lansing where she had made her home for
many years. She spent vacations in Charlevoix for many years with her sister,
the late Mrs. Henry Stephan. Her only survivors are two nieces. Graveside
services for Miss Dennis will be held at Brookside Cemetery in the spring.
