Interment was In Brookside cemetery. Born In Charlevoix Oct. 24,1898 the former Edith Russell was married to Walter Vosburg in Charlevoix in 1915. He preceded her In death In 1932. Two years later she was married to Victor Douglas who died In 1961. She was a charter member of the Charlevoix V.F.W. Auxiliary. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Earl (Nellie) Holborn and Mrs. Robert (Sophronia) McDermott, both of Charlevoix, Mrs. Benjamin (Hilda) Beach of Cleveland and Mrs. Julius (Almedla) Van Dell of Allen Park; a stepson, Stanley Smith of Oregon; two step-daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Hilda) Steele and Mrs. Mary Iacovacci, both of Madison Heights; 18 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren. ============================================================== OBITUARY Victor V. Douglas Charlevoix Courier Victor V. Douglas Dies Following Extended Illness Victor V. Douglas, 76, resident of this community since his retirement 10 years ago and a veteran of World War I, died late Saturday following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Winchester Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur A. Austin officiating. Burial was in Brookside cemetery. Born in Manistee Jan. 13, 1886, Mr. Douglas served in the U.S. Navy during World War I. He later made his home in Detroit where he was employed in a tool shop until his retirement 10 years ago. Since then he has resided at 214 Mason st. He was a member of the Assembly of God church and a Detroit post of the American Legion.
