A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 18, at Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix. Paul Bradley will officiate. Shirley was born March 6, 1925, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Edward and Thelma (Kirby) Bradford. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Wil-lard on Sept. 9, 1999. She is survived by her sister Emily, and brother Burton, and the wonderful Drost family. Arrangements are being handled by the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix. Willard Drost OBITUARY Willard B. Drost Willard B. Drost, 75, of Ellsworth and formerly of Charlevoix, died Sept. 9, 1999. at his home. A graveside service was held on Monday. Sept. 13, at Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix, with the Rev. Jerry Polk officiating. Mr. Drost was born Sept. 10, 1923, in Petoskey, the son of Christ and Nelly (Brown) Drost. He was raised in Phelps, Marion Township, Charlevoix County. Willard served in the infantry during World War II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He owned and operated Airport Trailer and Mobile Homes Sales in Charlevoix for several years. Willard was a member of Charlevoix Lodge No. 282 F&AM, Order of the Eastern Star No. 72, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1153 and the Disabled American Veterans in Petoskey. He loved boating, hunting and fishing. On June 26, 1946, he married Shirley Bradford in Mason. Mich., and she survives. He is also survived by his brother. Louis Drost and his wife, Eva, of Charlevoix; and by several wonderful nieces and nephews. Willard was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Ben and Cecil; and by his sister. Nina Ouderkirk.
