Edwards ALBERT V. EDWARDS Funeral services for Albert V. Edwards, 86, who died Oct. 20 at the Charlevoix Area Hospital will be held at the Winchester Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. David W. Yingling of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Brookside Cemetery. Born in Charlevoix June 22, 1897, Mr. Edwards was married in 1922 to Charlotte Edwards at Boyne City. They always made their home here. He was associated with the Edwards truck farm and Edwards Florist until his retirement. Mrs. Edwards preceded him in death April 19, 1961. In September, 1961, he was married to Mrs. Ida Wickersham who died May 20,1981. He had served briefly in the U.S. Navy. He was a former member of the Knights of Pythias. Surviving are two daughers, Mrs. Howard (Ruth) North of Ionia and Mrs. Ray (Elaine) Shearer of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a brother Arthur S. of Charlevoix. Friend may call at the funeral home Tuesday and meet the family from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday. _______________________________________________________________ OBITUARY Final Rites Held Saturday for Mrs. Albert Edwards Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Edwards, 56, who died unexpectedly Wednesday at the Charlevoix hospital where she had been a patient for five days, were held Saturday at the Winchester Funeral Home with the Rev. L. L. Lewis officiating. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Born at Eastport May 19, 1904, the former Charlotte M. Williams came to this community as a child. In 1922 she was married to Mr. Edwards at Boyne City. They always made their home here. For many years she was associated with her husband in the operation of Edwards' Florist, and was active in florists' circles in northern Michigan and the state. She was a member of the First Baptist church and the Garden club. Besides her husband, Albert, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Ruth) North of Ionia and Mrs. Versal (Elaine) Shearer of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren; one brother, Joseph R. Williams of Charlevox and a sister, Mrs. Cecil Randall of Mt. Vernon, Wash.
