Felo 1901-1988 Anna K. Felo 1903-1976 Additional Comments: JOSEPH FELO Graveside services for Joseph H. Felo 86, of Charlevoix and Sanford, Fla., were held Monday, March 30, at Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix, The Rev, James K. Gardiner of St, Mary’s Church officiated. Mr. Felo died Saturday, March 28, at Sanford Fla., where funeral services were held. Born in Pieston, Czechoslovakia, on Oct. 24,1901, Mr. Felo came to the United States as a boy with his parents, who settled in Chesaning. For many years he owned and operated Superior Fish and Chips Restaurant in Flint. In 1968 he came to Charlevoix where he spent the summer. In the winter he went to Sanford, Fla. While in Charlevoix he made canvas covers for boats. On Jan, 4, 1977, he married Elizabeth Zitka. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Elizabeth Moore of Long Beach, Calif., and Mary Felo of Rohnert, Calif.; a son, Jospeh W. Felo of Stayton, Ore.; four grandchildren; two sisters, May Haggerty of Jackson and Anne Abbiss of Palm Springs, Fla.; and a brother, Rudolph Felo of West Palm Beach, Fla. The family suggests memorials to St. Mary’s Church or Bergmann Center. Envelopes are available at Winchester Funeral Home, which was in charge of arrangements. _____________________________________________________________________________ MRS. ANNA FELO Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph (Anna K.) Felo, who died Friday at Sanford, Fla., where she and her husband were spending the winter months, were held Monday at the Gramkow Funeral Home in Sanford. The body will be returned here for graveside services at Brookside cemetery in the spring. Mrs. Felo was born in Czechoslovakia, was married to Mr. Felo at Flint and lived there from 1914 until coming to Charlevoix in 1959. Since 1969 they have spent the winter months at Sanford. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Joseph W. of Salem, Ore; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Moore of I^kewood, Calif., Mary A. of Glendale and Susan A. of Lapeer; two grandchildren and three sisters in Czechoslovakia.
